Solution: Add water to submerge the heating rod, or move the heating rod downward to prevent it from being exposed to the water surface due to water evaporation.

Overheating Protection

When the water temperature is over 95°F(or lower than 54°F), the heater will stop working, then flash EE (Eu) error code and sound an alarm.

Solution: (1) Unplug and wait for the heater to cool down when overheated.

(2) Check if the heater is heating up when the water temperature is too low.

ENSURE THAT THE HEATING ROD IS COMPLETELY SUBMERGED IN WATER

Attention

1. Please unplug the heater and let it cool for 15 minutes first before you perform a water change or take out the heater rod.

2. The heater must be fully submerged underwater at least 2 inches to avoid water evaporation, causing the heating rod to be exposed to the water surface and burn dry.

3. Keep water in circulation for better distribution of the heat.

4. It’s essential to keep it off the gravel or sand as the difference in heat conductivity between the water and substrate could result in the heater glass cracking.
